My Tattoo - Kanji 'Divine'

Description

The tattoo represents two things:

1. The big kanji symbol on the right means "Divine"

- notice how it kinda looks like a sword? I've been doing research on the japanese samurai for a while now and I learned a lot of their morals and values which I respect highly. They believe that their soul, along with their ancestors, reside in their long sword.

2. The smaller Japanese characters on the left state: "I belong to the warrior in whom the old ways have joined the new"

- Being who I am, I respect the olden ways. Kinda old-fashioned as one would say. However, one will have a harder time moving forward if he lingers upon the past. So, this smaller portion resembles how I keep the morals and values of the ancient and use them in accordance to today's struggles.

Deep.

hi,

The smaller Japanese characters on the left state: "I belong to the warrior in whom the old ways have joined the new"

sorry, but this is wrong.
the correctly translation is: "Since ancient times to the present, God is with those who serve with dignity and honor."

have a nice day. :)
